All our pups really need to be happy is love.
Rescued Puppy Wouldn't Stop Shaking With Fear At Shelter, Despite Rescuers' Best Efforts To Provide Comfort
As their caregivers, it brings us joy to see their tails wagging and faces beaming with smiles when we get up in the morning.
Our top priority is to shower our furry friends with love and make them the happiest dogs on the planet.
Regrettably, some dog owners are heartless enough to abandon their loyal pets, especially when they need affection the most.
Comfort was just three months old when her uncaring family threw her out of the only home she had ever known.
A kind-hearted bystander who saw this heartbreaking event quickly took the sweet puppy to a shelter located in Los Angeles, California.
Feeling utterly betrayed by those she trusted the most, Comfort began to shake uncontrollably in the corner of her kennel.
The Most Difficult Period Of Her Life
Upon her arrival at the shelter, it was clear that Comfort was undernourished and dehydrated, and she initially refused to eat.
She was also suffering from a flea infestation.
She kept shaking from fear and huddled in her kennel.
She wouldn't make eye contact with the shelter staff, nor would she allow them to touch her.
The staff and volunteers at the shelter were saddened to see Comfort so terrified.
Ashely Pittman, who volunteers at both the Los Angeles shelter and A Purposeful Rescue—a non-profit organization—wanted to help.
Hoping to find Comfort a foster home, she shared a video of the frightened dog on her Instagram account.
The video quickly spread and was shared on TikTok, where it became viral.
A foster parent who saw the video reached out to Pittman and A Purposeful Rescue right away.
She offered to foster the frightened pup and was already on her way to the shelter to pick her up.
Comfort was then integrated into the foster system of the rescue organization, and her new foster mom took her home.
Her foster mom was committed to helping Comfort overcome her fears so that she could become the dog she was meant to be.
A Loving Foster Home
The shelter environment was causing Comfort a lot of anxiety.
Her foster mom understood that the pup just needed some time to unwind and feel safe.
For the first few days at the foster home, Comfort continued to whimper and hid under a bed.
Her foster mom provided exceptional care and showered Comfort with lots of love.
Gradually, Comfort began to relax, and her eyes started to sparkle with hope.
Her foster mom is excited to see Comfort's personality emerge fully.
Once Comfort is completely comfortable and settled in her foster home, she will begin the search for her forever family.
We are hopeful that Comfort will soon find a permanent home with loving parents who will treasure her.
We are confident that her new family will cherish and adore her forever.
