Maddie was a stray pup who longed for human affection but found it hard to trust people and open her heart to love.

Everything started to change for her the day she encountered Selina, a compassionate dog rescuer.

The first time Selina spotted Maddie on the street, she immediately wanted to help her and bring her to safety.

Maddie was suffering from a skin condition that made her skin itchy.

Due to her fear, she wouldn’t let Selina come too close at first.

Determined to earn her trust, Selina began visiting Maddie regularly, providing treatment for her skin.

Winning Maddie’s Heart

Maddie would run away whenever Selina tried to touch her, yet she started to follow Selina’s scooter and even followed her all the way home.

But if Selina stopped, the scared pup would bolt.

Deep down, Maddie wanted to trust Selina, but she had to overcome her fear first.

Every day, Selina fed her and spoke gently to her, patiently trying to win her trust.

Selina was overjoyed when Maddie fully recovered.

Her skin healed, and her fur grew back.

Maddie began to recognize Selina’s genuine care and fell in love with her rescuer.

She started waiting at the same spot every day for Selina, greeting her with a smile.

When Maddie saw her favorite human approaching, she would jump with joy and wag her tail.

"She loved me on her own terms at first 🥰 from the distance and preferably no touch…🙃," Selina shared in a caption on her Instagram video.

Several months into their friendship, Maddie finally allowed Selina to cuddle her for the first time.

They continued their daily meetings, with Maddie eagerly looking forward to snuggling with Selina, who gave her all the love she had always needed.

Once Selina saw that Maddie trusted her completely, she took her to the vet for a check-up.

To her surprise, the vet announced that Maddie was pregnant and due to give birth in just a few days.

The Sweet Pup Moves In With Selina

Selina took Maddie home and prepared a nesting box for her.

She was so dedicated to Maddie’s well-being that she decided not to sleep; she stayed next to Maddie, letting her know she was there for her.

Feeling safe and loved, Maddie relaxed, knowing she had Selina’s support.

For Selina, assisting Maddie during the birth of her puppies was an enchanting experience.

It was completely new for her, and the dog trusted her implicitly.

"I am blown away how much she let me in. How much she let me be part of this incredible journey of giving birth. The love, the silence, the wisdom… all of it. 

"Absolutely mindblowing and magical experience. I love you SO MUCH baby girl and I am so amazingly proud of you," Selina posted on Instagram.

Maddie welcomed her puppies, showering them with endless kisses. 

The puppies thrived, feeling secure with their mother by their side.

They enjoyed cuddling next to her, basking in her unconditional love.

As they grew, the puppies developed into beautiful, healthy dogs.

Maddie was profoundly thankful to Selina for rescuing her and caring for her babies.

The puppies felt ready to venture out and find their own places in the world.

Two of the puppies have already found their forever homes.

Maddie and her third puppy are still searching for their perfect matches.
